Your privacy matters to LKCOM. We are a marketing agency and we handle your data with the same care with which we would like our own to be handled, in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2016/679, "GDPR") and other applicable legislation.

What data we collect and how
We collect only the data strictly necessary for the purposes described in this policy. There are two types of data: the data you provide voluntarily and the data recorded automatically by the normal operation of any website on the Internet.
- Data you provide in the contact form: your name, your email, your phone number (optional) and the message you write to us. This data is collected only when you decide to contact us and is provided by you voluntarily.
- Technical data collected automatically: when you visit the website, our servers record, in log files, technical information such as the IP address, the browser and device type, the pages consulted and the date and time of access. This collection is inherent to the operation of any website on the Internet.
The website has no store, shopping cart or user accounts, so we do not collect payment data or create access profiles. Nor do we collect special categories of data (for example, data relating to health, beliefs or origin), and we do not ask you to provide them.
What we use your data for and on what legal basis
We process your data only for specified and legitimate purposes. For each purpose, we indicate the legal basis set out in Article 6 of the GDPR:
- Responding to your contact and quotation requests (form data): to respond to your message and follow up on any request for a proposal or service. Basis: performance of pre-contractual steps taken at your request — Article 6(1)(b) — and, where applicable, your consent — point (a).
- Ensuring the operation, stability and security of the website (server technical logs): to ensure the availability of the website, prevent abusive use and detect and respond to cyberattack attempts. Basis: legitimate interest — Article 6(1)(f).
- Remembering your preferences (language and colour palette): to present the website in the language and appearance you have chosen. Basis: legitimate interest in providing you with a functional experience — Article 6(1)(f) — since these elements do not identify you.
- Measuring and improving the use of the website (Google Analytics statistics): to understand how the website is used and make it better. Basis: your consent — Article 6(1)(a), given in the cookie notice. If you do not consent, these statistics are not collected.
- Complying with legal obligations to which LKCOM is subject: where the law requires it, we may process or retain data in order to comply with legal obligations. Basis: compliance with a legal obligation — Article 6(1)(c).
Whenever we invoke legitimate interest, we refer to LKCOM's interest in carrying out its activity in a secure and efficient manner, in communicating with those who reach out to it and in protecting the website and its users. We always weigh this interest against your rights and freedoms and limit the processing to what is strictly necessary.
How long we keep your data
We keep personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes for which it was collected:
- Messages and contact data: kept for the duration of the contact or the resulting relationship and, thereafter, for up to 2 years after the last contact, unless a legal obligation requires retention for a longer period; at the end of that period, it is securely deleted.
- Server technical logs: kept for a limited period, appropriate to security and diagnostic purposes, and then deleted or anonymised.
- Preferences saved in the browser (language and palette): remain on your device until you delete them or until the cookie expires; you can remove them at any time in your browser settings.
Once the applicable periods have elapsed, the data is securely deleted or anonymised.
Who we share your data with
LKCOM does not sell or transfer your personal data to third parties for commercial purposes. To provide the service, we rely on processors that act on our behalf, under contract and a duty of confidentiality:
- The website hosting service, which ensures the operation of the infrastructure on which the website and its logs are installed.
- The email service, through which we receive and reply to contact messages.
These processors handle the data exclusively in accordance with our instructions and within the scope of the purposes described here, and may not use it for their own purposes. We may also disclose data to public authorities where legally required.
International data transfers
Your data is processed within the European Economic Area (EEA). We do not carry out transfers of personal data to countries outside the EEA. Should this become necessary in the future, we will ensure that the transfer is made under the appropriate safeguards required by the GDPR and will update this policy accordingly.
Cookies and browser storage
We use two types of cookies and local storage. Essential and functional cookies are always necessary for the operation of the website and do not identify you. Statistics cookies (Google Analytics) are activated only if you accept them in the cookie notice. This website does not use advertising cookies. Specifically:
- A language cookie: remembers the language you have chosen, so that you do not have to select it again on each visit.
- A colour palette preference: saved in your browser's local storage (localStorage), it remembers the colour scheme you chose in the "colour challenge". This information stays only on your device.
- Statistics cookies (Google Analytics): created only if you accept statistics in the cookie notice. They are used to measure the use of the website in aggregate form. If you refuse, they are not created; you can change your mind at any time.
You can, at any time, block or delete cookies and clear local storage in your browser settings. If you do so, some preferences will no longer be remembered, but the website will continue to work.
Statistics and third-party tools
This website uses Google Analytics, a traffic analysis service provided by Google that helps us understand how the website is used — for example, the most visited pages and where visits come from — in order to improve it. These statistics are collected only with your consent: Google Analytics is loaded only after you accept it in the cookie notice and, if you refuse, it is not activated. You can change your choice at any time.
Google Analytics uses cookies to distinguish visits and may process data such as the IP address (in abbreviated form) and information about the device and browsing. This data is processed by Google, as a processor, in accordance with Google's privacy policy. You can object globally to the collection by installing the browser opt-out add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. We do not use the Meta Pixel or behavioural advertising tools.
Social media
Our website includes links to LKCOM's official social media pages. These are simple hyperlinks: loading the website does not entail any transfer of your data to those platforms. If you choose to visit or interact with those pages, the privacy policy of the respective social network then applies, for which LKCOM is not responsible.
Links to other sites
The website may contain hyperlinks to third-party pages. LKCOM does not control and is not responsible for the content, practices or privacy policies of those sites. We recommend that you consult their respective policies before providing any personal data.
Automated decisions and profiling
LKCOM does not make decisions based solely on the automated processing of your data, nor does it carry out profiling that produces legal effects concerning you or that significantly affects you. Any interaction involving your data goes through people.
Data security
We adopt appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data against unauthorised access, alteration, loss, disclosure or destruction. The connection to the website is encrypted using the HTTPS protocol, protecting the information in transit between your device and our servers. No system is entirely impregnable, but we are committed to maintaining appropriate levels of security and to regularly reviewing our practices.
Your rights
As a data subject, the law grants you the following rights, which you can exercise at any time:
- Right of access: to know what data of yours we process and to obtain a copy of it.
- Right to rectification: to correct inaccurate data or complete incomplete data.
- Right to erasure ("right to be forgotten"): to request the deletion of your data, in the cases provided for by law.
- Right to restriction of processing: to request that the processing of your data be restricted in certain situations.
- Right to object: to object to the processing of your data based on legitimate interest.
- Right to portability: to receive the data you provided to us in a structured, commonly used format, or to request its transmission to another controller, where technically feasible.
- Right to withdraw consent: whenever the processing is based on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of the processing carried out up to that point.
To exercise any of these rights, simply contact us at info@lkcom.pt or through the other contact details indicated in this policy. We may need to confirm your identity before acting on the request, and we will respond within the period provided for by law.
Right to lodge a complaint
If you consider that the processing of your data does not comply with the law, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority. In Portugal, that authority is the National Data Protection Commission (CNPD) — www.cnpd.pt. We would, nonetheless, be grateful if you would contact us first, so that we can clarify or resolve the matter directly.
Changes to this policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated whenever justified, in particular as a result of legal changes or changes in the way we process data. The version in force is always the one published on this page, with its respective update date.
